What was your first Trucking company?

CR England. March of 1980 to March of 1990. When I left I was running strictly LTL for the last 4 years from the Burlington NJ warehouse to all of Florida. Home every Monday night, pedal freight until Friday then deadhead back to Jersey to do it again.

 

LOL... Not well is one way to put it! Lots of folks jumping ship... We're waiting for our brass ring, then decide. Easier for us because we're on a set loop...

 

Superior Carriers. Still here, no plans on leaving.

 

Millis Transfer...almost 2.5 years...left to run local so that I could help raise my son.

 

Roehl. 1 month. Was offered and took a yard dog job at a small company. Make way more money,way better benefits,and home every night! It was a no brainer.

 

For better or worse? Or have the changes been noticeable yet? This is the company I'm thinking about starting with, in the recruitment process right now but can still back out. Would it be better to just go straight to Swift and go through their program?

Got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and took time off the road to get a better grip on my health. That time off lasted 11 years, lol!
