The other position that was offered to me was the Home Depot lumber/building materials delivery for Weyrehouser out of Baltimore Md. Home daily. Mon-Fri advertised earnings of $49,500 mileage, stop pay, tarp pay when required. Anyone have experience with this account ? info appreciated .

I agree what they advertise is normally lower, I started on home depot store deliveries and was told 42,500 but the first year was 48K in 10 months

One of the most unappreciated accounts to get on (at least in my time) was Walmart Agility, I'm not sure if it's still around or maybe it's structured different? We pulled all Walmart trailers with the rare exception & would be assigned to a particular Walmart DC for a week or longer at a time. There was absolutely zero live load or unload involved. 100% drop n hook with all shipper bills printed & ready. After all how often have you ever seen ANY Walmart drivers sitting somewhere waiting? It just didn't happen. We got limited use of their showers at the DC & could even park on site if we didn't idle the trucks which in the spring or fall wasn't too bad. Fueling & truck washes were reserved for their private fleet but we had full use of their on site scales. It was really as stellar gig that I can safely say I routinely brought over a thousand a week from without blinking an eye.

Give it it a look see if the Home Depot acct doesn't fit the bill.

thanks for the info, does anyone remember the jbh orientation process and how long it takes? is there a lot of testing. also do they use a qualcomm and require you to input your eta and future hours available before you can commit to a load like schneider does? thanks

Orientation is 4 days. A pretty thorough physical & lift/stress test which if you aren't well rested will give you a workout. So get a good night sleep. You'll do some fairly simple testing & extensive study of the Smith System & safety. A quick road test & an alley docking maneuver & that's about it. They'll feed you breakfast & lunch onsite but dinner is up to you.

As as for dispatching yes you'll update hrs available & ETAs daily so that they can best use you. My FMs were always real good about making sure you tracked your hrs carefully. If that sounds like Schneider then you'll know what to expect & it'll be a minor adjustment for you.

    Good luck!
