At the yard for the night, had the trailer in for some work, most notably the light that went out three times on my trip back west. I have a new back flap on order for the roll top and they installed my inverter for me so now all I need is things in the truck for it to invert. I have a coffee maker and microwave at home so those will be in when I get back home.
Waking up dark and early and headed towards Salt Lake City for a Wednesday morning delivery. I'll call in tomorrow to see what they'll have me doing next. I would suspect that it'll either be headed anywhere but south, as I'm scheduled for home time.

Spending the night here in Tremonton, UT a little over an hour from delivery. Real nice drive across eastern Oregon and had a tailwind most of the day. ABS light continues to give me fits, flashes on and off at the most random times. Gonna see if I can spend the night at a TA or a Petro tomorrow night and have the shop look at, or back to the yard. Need to have my name put on this truck anyhow.
Called dispatch today, I'll be picking up in Lindon, UT going to Portland for a Friday morning delivery. I'm gonna try and deliver Thursday (weather pending) and see if I can do a flat rate run tomorrow or pick up my load leaving out after home time, or maybe even both. Who knows, only time will tell.

I was only on 84 from Ontario till the Idaho border, so if you did, that's impeccable timing lol. I took US26 from Redmond over to Ontario.

Delivered this morning in SLC without a hitch and that's where it all went to ####. Arrived at the shipper in Lindon at 0930 and sat. I watched one but move bundles of steel from one side of the warehouse to the other,c only to watch another guy move those same bundles back. Unreal. I was the only truck there for 2.5 hours and then they pulled me in. And I sat. And then the line starts to form behind me, including another one of our drivers. I was finally loaded after 4 hours and I asked when I got my paperwork if I could secure my load outside as I wanted to expedite the loading processf for the other drivers. I get outside and I get going and it starts to sprinkle. After I'm about half way through they tell me to stop because the product can't get wet and they need to dry it off. You mean Skippy, who gave me my paperwork, knew this load couldn't get wet and didn't tell me? Especially when you're entire area is surrounded by WINTER STORM WARNINGS, you know, PRECIPITATION?! I had so many things I wanted to say but just didn't. If I had known that, I would have thrown everything over the load inside, buttoned up the roll top, and tightened everything outside. But instead, an employee and I had to pleasure of wiping down this load. I didn't have too but I wanted to just get out of there before I did say something. Apparently this fella didn't have very nice things to say about these loaders either so we got to venting a bit, it felt good.
Because of this, I can't deliver early in PDX as it was a FCFS receiver, and now I can't get a little extra work in. Managed a whopping 300 miles in 14 hours, with 103 of those in the first three hours of my day. I'll call dispatch and see what they have planned for me. Glad today is over.

Got home yesterday around 1600, spent the night in my own bed, and delivered this morning. In and out in under 2 hours and they said that it wouldn't have mattered if it was wet, not that I was surprised.
Called in to dispatch and found out that I'll be picking up on Monday morning in Philomath, OR going to North Highlands, CA for Tuesday morning. That will put me at 2246 paid miles for the week. Was hoping for a little more, butI do have home time this weekend and President's Day takes a day away. Oh well, it gives me time to get my tax information in order and spend some time with the other half.
I think the pup missed me.

Ended up switching loads this morning. I was given the option whether or not I wanted to, and since there was a driver already down in the Corvallis area empty, I took the load from Portland going to Boise. A little bit shorter but I ended up with my next load offer picking up in Meridian, ID going to Phoenix, AZ for a Thursday morning delivery. Not gonna complain about that.
Tonight I'm in Nampa and I'll deliver first thing in the morning.

Delivered this morning over in Boise and then hopped over to Meridian to pick up. First attempt was too heavy, I was 81,060 lb without me in the truck, and I was also 21k on the first spread axle. They took a bundle off and I was 79,770 with 3/4 tanks and legal axles. Made it to Ely, NV for the night and plan to make it to the receiver in Phoenix tomorrow night.
Called dispatch today, asked if they could get me through Portland for my reset this weekend, and if not to give me something good to run over the weekend with. They said they'll do their best so we'll see. Also have a couple of payroll issues to take care of tomorrow as well.
