Is fuel costs generally covered by companies or does that come out of pay?

Yes unfortunately it would come out of your pocket. The way the companies see it is, this truck driver makes $3000 a week and doesn't have to pay a mortgage. car payment etc so they pass the fuel cost on the driver.
Expect to pay like $2500-2700 a week for fuel. -
LOL....Company drivers don't pay for fuel. The company issues a fuel card.
-
Sign me up if your making 3 grand a month with a company
NavigatorWife and Jokingypsy Thank this. -
I make 3 grand a week but it sucks sometimes because if I get bad fuel mileage that means I don't make money but on good week's I make like $1000 BTW.
I'm a lease driver for CR England if you want to get on with them, they're a very good company. -
Just asking... I thought leasing would get you more money?
-
Only a thousand a week for a lease op? And that's good take home pay? Hardly seems worth the hassle.
-
I'm not sure, but I missed something along the way in this thread.

For Company Drivers, you shouldn't have to pay for Fuel.
If you do look for a different Carrier.
Lease Ops or Owner Ops do have to pay their own fuel.
And..CR England is prolly one ofthe worst companies to work for.misterG and NavigatorWife Thank this. -
that does not belong in the same sentence lolGoneButNotForgotten, LGarrison, NavigatorWife and 3 others Thank this.
