If i need to pay i pay.. i run hard and sometimes not gonna fight or wait for a tight spot at the end of the night or there might be none available. Roehl will reimburse the charge with receipt. I only paid three times last year. 1 at a ta and twice at private parking yards.

What's the big deal then? Penny wise and pound foolish? I have no problem paying for parking although I rarely have to. But even if I ran a lane that had me paying to park all the time I wouldn't mind. If the income wasn't good enough I wouldn't run the lane. It's as simple as that. The same goes for all the other expenses of this business. Ultimately the customer pays for all of it and my profit as long as I manage things properly.
No one is entitled to free parking. At least in business, nothing is free. Someone has to pay to build and maintain the property we're parking on.

It's their property, they can do what they want, don't like it, don't park there.

I've used it twice this week at the Tampa T/A. It's nice coming in at 10 p.m. and knowing you have a spot waiting for you when that place usually fills up at 4 p.m.

What's the big then? I'm just voicing my opinion which is what I thought this forum was about. That's the big deal. If you don't like like my opinion and beliefs so what. So many people to defend rich companies and bad practices. It's no wonder the general public dislikes truckers so much. Aaaarrrrggghhhhhh

They are going to start charging RV"s $15 to reserve a spot. Looks like we will have to ante up...

I've used it 4 times. Twice I pulled in and the reserved spots were the only ones left and twice I pulled in and there was lots of parking. I quite often use up every bit of my book and then some so knowing I have a spot is worth every dollar I've spent on it.

On a couple of the occasions I used it I ran further then I normally would have because I knew I had somewhere to park. I easily covered the $12 it cost me.

Well not to b a jerk but you u could have made your Point in one of the other countless threads on paid parking. And as many have said depending where u r at or what u r doing reserved parking is plus. I'm a company driver pay out of my own pocket and when I do my taxes I add them to it. As a truck driver company or OO if u don't itemize and do just 1040ez you are loosing out on getting a bigger return.
