It's so annoying when you pay for a spot at a TA/Petro then you see some steering wheel holder park by the CAT scale or fuel island all night right in everybody's way. I don't understand how they can get a good night's sleep parked illegally.

I have never ask them , but the willington Ct ta , is a pay to park lot that has reserved spaces in it. You pay the ten bucks for the main lot plus the 8 to 14 for your reserved spot too? If so sounds like double dipping. Have used a reserved spot once, paid for it while in the shop getting 4 tires. Last free spot was taken while they were working on my trailer. Had a spot till I went into the shop. Thought they should have comped that night. Say spend over 1000$ in shop get 1 nights parking? But no.

Husband has used it some and it does beat being left out with nowhere to park, esp the east. It is a service and as such, it helps when you are running tight schedules.

You did get out of paying the main parking lot price though didn't you with the tires you bought?

I have had to "make a spot"... when the hour of service are up and the truck dtop is beyond full... I dontt think most driverrs want to park illegally.. it is justpark illegal or drive illegal... and for those if us with qualcom.. you cant back it up and give yourself more time like with paper logs..

I think more of the point i would ponder is why would you allow a company to rip off all the other drivers out there and yourself by allowing them to get away with charging you?!?!? by paying for a spot you are telling the company in a way "yea sure you can maybe squeeze a little more $ Out of us drivers in the future" for things like hmmm maybe more parking by the shop or add a buck more for a shower, etc. I know we don't pay for showers but you get the idea. I stand behind my fellow drivers and try to make it so we are less screwed over by others in the end. Yes,to me it is WE out here but to alot of you sadly it's only YOU.when the pay parking was new no one used it hardly now they are full. I have cash too and if i could get a clean shower or be able to wash my windows without poop water maybe once a week them ######## will get a buck from me. Until then as the poster said, you all can give free $ to the truckstops i would rather park in a pile of dog crap sorry.

. Thank you very much for some common sense and logic! I couldn't have said it any better. A lot of high polluters out here who think they're better than everyone else. Viva La Common Sense!

it doesn't work that way at all. at the places like willington, Baltimore, etc where its pay to park unless you spend 20 bucks, the reserve parking fee applies toward that 20.00,

and did you ask about comping the spot? the t/a also can print you a coupon for a free meal at the service , ask and you will be amazed

Usually if you get fuel items free for the first 24 hours....

.....since I know where I'm going I make it a point to need fuel ( at least 75 gal ) when I show up.

I know how to work the system pretty well .
