2 years after I've been told I'll get a new truck, and I'll be getting a new one. Susposed to be three inches longer than my old one, with eight inch shorter wheelbase.

    Was told this here. http://www.wallworktrucks.com/inventory/specsheet/?ID=4688224

I guess they will be moving fuel and hydraulic tank's around and shortening on of them to put a lift axle on it.

How long of a fifth wheel slide would you put on, and how far should center of pin go ahead of front drive axle?

Also going to be changing rear tires to 24.5 rims. Would you put 285/75 on or 11R's?

I'm 375 miles away from the truck, I won't get to see it in person till it's done and customized.

It would help a lot if you gave a but of a "job description" as to what exactly your setting up for? When you get into the world of specialized...there are a thousand different ways and a thousand different reasons for every way, so your asking us to generally take a shot in the dark. Somebody pulling a Tri-double drop doesn't need to have a double framed Tri-drive with a 4spd auxiliary and 4.56 gears as an example...

The rear tires currently are 295/75 22.5's. All the other trucks have either 11r22.5's or 285/75.24.5's with greatly varying rear end ratio's.

I don't know any reason just it was said they were going to change them to 24.5's.

Truck will be used primarily for hauling this. Grossing 160K and stayed in MT most of year.

Also, these machines and Excavators (PC300's PC 200's no pics though) Mobile cranes, and some step deck loads of misc stuff.

Well, I am finishing putting the truck together. I am not wishing to do this on anybody. Would have preferred to spec one out, or find something really close.

Anybody ever plumbed the hydraulic kit? Get to do that tomorrow.

One last thing if you can go a little longer for length reasons, push the limit. Tank capacity of 150 gallons of fuel (100 and a 50).

Pictures to come when I'm done screwing around.

You've probably already got your wet kit plumbed in and all, your post looks like you did it a week ago. You running in ND I would make sure that you put a filter on it, on the return side to the tank. Get one that has a water absorber or something like that. On my truck back when I first started driving it, before I owned it, it had gotten a bunch of water in the hydraulic tank, 1'st round of the day on the 1st cold cold (around 0 degrees that morning) I went to dump my load of 3/4 Crush (actually we were placing crush with a paver) and the water had gone to the bottom and froze, and I burnt the pump up.

Adding a filter after you've got it installed should still be a pretty easy project.

Good luck with you new truck, I know about how turning a new to you truck into a truck spec'd how you'd like can be one heck of a project!

Here's my first trip out. Glad I didn't have time to wash it. Going to get a few better pictures of the truck. Still need to put on pusher fenders, load lights, and measure for some toolboxes above the def tank and fuel tank.
