Logging here in Montana is pretty much shut down between the fuel price and lack of demand due to the housing slump. The mills are running skeleton crews and a few even closed up for a month this winter..............

My uncle has a loggin CO in TX. he has 6 trucks. They usually work about 14 hour days 6 days a week but here the last few months they are down to about 10 hours 5 days. The mills are not taking logs because they already have too much sitting in the yard so there isn't much sense in cutting them.
