I'm in tanker and I make good money. I think it's a good job. Lots of people get down on Schneider but most have never worked for us. I know what my checks look like and I know how I'm treated. You're making a good decision by going bulk in my humble opinion.

I've worked for Schneider a few times. I would never drive for them again UNLESS its on the bulk side. However I live too far away from any place to park the truck.

I've been looking to get into schneider bulk division. I am in Dallas, I heard that I would have to move out to Houston although the site just says ability to park personal vehicle in houston? Can i just park the tractor trailer here in Dallas for hometime? From what i've read also that dallas isnt very good with hometime with schneider bulk (which im not too worried about). You got a referral i can use?

I run out of Dallas, I just park my truck at the OC and go home. Never been a problem. Dallas isn't the best for us because not a lot of freight comes out of there. I mean you can still get home every 2 weeks but getting through the house during a run is rare.

Does for me, I don't know the guy so I can't answer. Nor can I comment on any other company.

Is it difficult learning the actual tanker job itself?

as weird as it sounds, being able to take the truck home would be the best for me. I don't want to leave my POV in a lot somewhere for weeks at a time and I certainly have enough room to park a tractor trailer in my driveway. had my BIL's 35' motorhome and my 30' travel trailer hooked to my truck in the drive at one time and still quite a bit of room. LOL
