-
Sounds like your trying to Block the Truth and Freedom of Speech, that's what Good about a Forum to let people know what COMPANY'S SUCK......LIKE JBS CARRIERS
-
Your Hell and other's heaven. May suck for you, and may be pie in the sky for others. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. No nanny cam in this truck yet. Guess if you are doing what you suppose to do. You shouldn't have no worries. Loving it over here at JBS. 4 years and counting in March. Well got to head to Hyrum to pick up next load. Just dropped and hooked this 1500 mile plus load in Farr West Utah. Already have 2600 miles for the week. With this next load going to Nogales add another 900 miles to that. But I might not turn that load in till Thursday to avoid giving Uncle sam Too much of my cash. Decisions decisions. We back quiet

3500 miles in a week at JBS? Are you really a driver? In my 12 years of driving, I've worked for lots of companies where I've averaged 3500mi a week but after a year and a half at JBS, a good week not only for me, but every other driver I've talked to was 2500-2700 miles a week. Again, this was not only what I got but every driver I spoke with as well. I'm not sure why your a cheerleader for JBS and I don't really care, but I can tell you, like every other current or former JBS driver, miles are 1700-2400 a week with a good week around 2700 miles.
If you really are a driver for JBS and you really are getting 3500 miles a week, please don't pass this off as the norm because it is not. -
Cat daddy or beerslave please excuse me for calling you out your name. As you see I've been with JBS for almost 4 years so I know the norms. They advertise 2500 miles a week and that is what I normally get. Actually its been slower but 23 and 2400 lately. I carried over a thousand mile trip. I could of put it on last weeks 2300 mile week but didn't know how this week would pan out. I actually delivered a day early so I could put that 1,000 mile trip on last weeks, but after talking to the wifey decided to carry it over to this week. Still debating if I should even turn in my 900 mile trip on this check.
Since I picked my load up a day early now I can do a restart if the weather co operates with me, and will see what type of pre plan I get out of Nogales. Sadly most people don't make more money because they don't know how to work the system. No I'm not a cheer leader. I just love what I do, and I'm thankful for the good equipment and the fact they leave me alone and let me do my job. As I let them do their job. This load wasn't suppose to pickup till 1500 tomorrow. Ready a day early So now I can finally get a restart after almost 3 weeks of running. I really don't need it, but I just find it easier to trip plan and the planners don't have to do a lot of math and they can give me a load with some miles on it and not have to worry.
I know who to work for if I wanted 3500 mile weeks the company I left I was doing 4 to 5,000 mile weeks, but with the CSA 2010 coming along. Decided to be a good boy and come over here. So Ya if you are looking for 3500 mile weeks on a regular basis this isn't the company for you. But if you want affordable insurance and decent equipment. I'm sure you wouldn't mind calling it home until the next job comes along. Sadly my wife is really wanting me to go local or be home more so I may be leaving this great company. Hopefully she will change her mind but I doubt it. I do love the paid vacations and New York city pay. I'll miss it, but we gota do what we gota do. Oh ya sir my Qualcom picture and some pictures in my album shows that I'm a driver, and you probably can tell not your average driver. <<<<<I getter done Yeee hawww. -
Well that's my point. On average, most drivers (100% of ones I have spoken to) do not average 2500 miles a week a JBS. A good week for JBS can be 2500 but a good week happens only every 6-8 weeks. On average, the majority of drivers get 1700-2400 a week.
When I get out of the house, I would only plan on being out 3 weeks but due to the constant 1700-2000 mile weeks, my three weeks out always turned into 8 weeks just to try to get a 2400 mile week. And after a year and a half there, my best week was only 2800 miles.. -
Wow it's hard to believe you got those crap miles and stayed as long as you have. Average means average. I'm not sure if you were on some regional type account because those seem like regional type numbers. I just don't see how it's possible to get 1700 miles otr on a consistent basis. Guess you was on somebody's crap list, but as you said most of the people I talk to say 2500 a week as well, and most have multi year experience here, but they still cry like it's the worse company. Mad because they are not getting 3500 miles when they never was told they would get that in the first place. I have given up on trying to understand truck drivers and women. Always something to complain about.
-
Nope, just ran OTR. And with the average of 1700-2400 a week with my high side being 2500-2700, that's not even the downside. On a really bad week, which happened every few weeks, it could be as low as 1000 miles a week. Like I said before, every driver I spoke with was doing the same. The reason I stayed that long was that even at .40 a mile, I couldn't afford to take a week off to even change jobs. JBS laying me off and giving me a grand to do it was the best thing that could of happened.
