Yeah I've passed my medical and seizures were never an issue, just a numbness I thought was a heart attack. I don't take meds and it happened almost two years ago, so I'm fine.
Thanks again my friend.
Yet another change is plans. Buy own truck, than lease on or authority????

I was just reading thru this BobbyMisc and I just have to throw my 2 cents in.Dont take ANY of the stuff that these people are saying as Personal attacks on yourself.Everyone has diferrent ways of expressing their feelings about the Questions your asking.Dinomite was probably the closet to being Honest and Helpful than anybody else.If what he says Offends you then you havent got past Truck Driver talk 101!!! Its not gonna be easy at all and I give Alot of Respect to someone who has Served our Country for as long as you have but Trucking is a Different BEAST!!!! You will still take Crap oulf people whether you Own your own Truck or you become a Company Driver.Only difference for an O/O is they deal with More Problems than Company drivers. Will say it for the 1000th time like Everyone else,Go get some Company Experience 1st and see if you like it.If you can handle the BS after that then try for your own Truck. Will give you a Chance to see and Talk to other Truckers and find some truth for yourself instead of own this Website. Some good advice here but you shouldnt ask about Life altering decisions. If you still want to give it a go then Good Luck to you.Always want to see People suceed at want they want
Dinomite Thanks this. -
I suggest running as a company driver for a few years, then running for a small fleet or a O/O with a second truck. Be careful here, there's a lot of people out there that get in over their heads, and end up not paying their drivers. Plus if their not withholding and want to pay you as a 1099 run! Next get your own truck and lease on a few years, then go for your authority.

Hope it goes well for you.Send more messeges if you still want to get out there. We will all try to point you in the right Direction. So many people come into the Industry and get out 6 months to 3 years later with a BAD TASTE in their mouth about it.If you spend your Money and Dont Suceed then you are lucky if you get out Breakin even and not Filing Bankruptcy because an O/O absorbs ALL THE COST!!!! Hope to see you on the Road and that you Have the staying power.I believe you do because the Military doesnt let people Retire who dont know a Thing or Two about Survival
