What about in the east coast-Midwest area?

Luck of the draw, but McCain's has been paying better of late so it's been more frequent. I like going up there as well, especially when there's something to pay the fuel on the northbound leg.
There are a lot of places we pick up at in the New England area, but company guys aren't going to get a lot of those loads... you certainly wouldn't like them from a "miles" point of view. I do a lot of northeast because it pays very well. Most ICs don't like going up there because they're all trying to score homerun loads- $4000 in a single shot. The way I look at it is that 6 or 7 loads a week in the $600 to $800 range and short miles makes for a very successful week.
I'll happily pull a Walmart load OUT of Lewiston on the way up to Easton, but I won't pull anything into there any more. They have decided that for the privilege of that we get to do one of those crap store loads out of there that ends up right back at the DC. ICs are not force dispatched by contract, so what's with this crap in the first place? They've been selling it by trying to say they pay extra to go up there, and that's BS. Then, the obligatory store load doesn't pay worth ####, and recently they've been trying to push a second one on ICs with the story, "That's the only freight we have." BS. I told my FM, don't even bother sending me one of those loads into the DC, I'll just reject it. Last time I went in there, it was a favor to him on a repower.
OTOH, the cardboard loads going up to Easton aren't a bad deal at all... drop 'n hook both ends, mostly light(er) than usual, and it pays the fuel up there. The loads back may be heavy, but there are some that are paying quite well these days. The cardboard load I took up there over the weekend had been rejected twice... now that's just plain stupid because it will cover my day, and the load back is almost an entire weeks' gross revenue. I'll have almost 4 days left this week.
There's a bunch of places we might drop a trailer at. A couple of ice cream joints, and there's a drop yard up that way too.
Don't be asking the same question on multiple threads. I answered it on JBs thread for you... and this is our "where are you at tonight" thread.

Right now in my home state. Thinking of what companies I can work from age 21. I have a truck and I want to use it.

Sitting at campus waiting for apu install and kw to fix truck Wednesday. Hey kbod, Kennett square right? Pretty tight there.

If I remember right 21 yr old can do "in-state" work only. I think that their be some PA companies that could hire you but be hard without experience. But with a truck it could be easier. there is a lot of rail and ocean freight in that area that where I would look first.

Yep always fun watching a new students eyes light up going in not as bad coming out with the jog at the light unless you get caught at the light

Yea, been there a few times. I only drove out this last time. Normally it was his shift. Those lights are pesky. He had it skidding the last time. Followed another prime truck out.
