Unless you like buying injectors, turbos and a few other high priced parts stay away from the '03-'07 6.0....TOTAL P.O.S, stick with the 7.3 after '99 where mostly you can get away with cam sensors and with this crappy fuel, fuel filters..94-97 powerjokes be prepared for cam sensors, vss sensors, with autos you can add psom modules ($800 + for psom from ford)and the occasional starter. If you want to pull serious weight get ready to puke auto trannys and clutches, slave cylinders in manuals like you own stock in the company. The 6.4 I don't have a clue about. All of the trucks on the market today are EXCELLENT if you intend to put 50 thousand easy miles on them and trade for another new one.I can't do that. -
The 6.4 really like diesel. It gets 12 empty and maybe 9 loaded.
This is from some of the drivers who own one. -
