I call B.S yankee. I bet you wouldn't miss your childs surgery. It is not just life OTR I promise. Some people say that and that's why companies can get away with such crap wow no wonder the trucking industry is in the shape it's in amd the country too nobody has the balls to stand up anymore.

It doesn't matter if he is a company driver or a lease driver. .

It's not working out for the driver. . Who truly knows why it's not working? Not me. . But I learned a long time ago that No matter how hard I try. . How hard I want it to work. . Sometimes it's better to walk away.

Think of it like a bf/gf relationship. . If one side gets all the benefits and always leaves YOU hanging.. time to get out while you still can. It doesn't matter how pretty the ride is.

I have been trying to tell my BF this. He won't listen. I have friends that are OTR drivers and they are all telling him the same thing. Becoming an OTR driver was a boyhood dream. He should have pursued it after HS. He's 49. I had dreams as a kid too. Life happened and it took another course. I asked if he has tried to talk to other OTR drivers at truck stops that are based locally and he has had nothing but negative responses. They won't talk to him. For what reason i don't know. They WILL talk to me.
