6 to 6.5 depending on route and load weight. pulling 2 axle reefer. first odometer quit at *this is all in km- 1,864,000. today I am at 131,708. was fully rebuilt with new injectors, bull gear, everything, at 1,455,000. I hope to get to 2,455,000 roughly before I have to decide if I want to put a new engine in and go again or what. So when my odo gets to 591,000 km, I will have roughly 1M km on the rebuilt, or about 620,000 miles. I figure if it is averaging in the 6's for mpg, that should mean it will have burned about 100,000 gallons ... somehow I remember that as the rule of thumb ..

I know, when he takes expenses out he would be left with nothing.

Hi folks, I'm just a humble grocery hauler trying to learn my way forward to better things. There are many like me who read these threads and what we really want to know is how much O/O's make in various situations. That info may be on this site somewhere but with thousands of threads to wade through I haven't found it yet. There are lots of numbers thrown around that are somewhat educational - that give me things to think about - but the most desired info seems conspicuously absent: How much do guys make in a month or a year? Telling us gross or what to aim for per mile doesn't answer that without all the related info and lots of calculation.

Are there any O/O's here willing to talk about what they actually earn? Thanks

if you start at the beginning of this thread it tells where I am at and exactly what I am making. some other drivers give theirs too. if you get the main numbers just break it all down and throw in different scenarios for trucks and payments and maintenance ect....

Yeah, those are relevant factors but, as I said, what some of us would most like to know - what might inspire or discourage further investigation is:
How much do you actually earn?

See, what someone like me is trying to find out is: Will being an O/O make me more money? How much more for various types of work.

Anybody here willing to share some bottom line answers? Thanks

Here's a thread from a few years ago attempting to answer the question.
    http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...865-how-do-owner-operators-make-annually.html

I am looking for some recent or, better yet, live input on this most salient of questions. Thanks

That's hard to discuss cause everyone's situation is different. Some own their own truck. Some are making payments still. In average if you are a o/o it seems to average $3000 a week after all expenses normally.
