Awesome job! Takes about 3 weeks to get cleared.
d o g Thanks this. -
Where did you end up?
-
Bob thinks he found an awesome job. Wait til he gets out to that desolate #### hole where it takes a week to get an appt for an oil change, there are huge lines at McDonald's, you have to pay $2,000 a month to live anywhere and we will see if he still thinks he has a great gig. Oh, not to mention how strict these safety guys are on those frac sites. There is a reason ND oilfield is always hiring; because those jobs chew you up and spit you out in 6 months. Good luck, tho. lol

Driver5, just go out there yourself and see if I am wrong. I have known too many drivers that have gone out there and absolutely hated it. I am just a realist. A lot of people like to keep their heads in the sand. I'm not one of them.

Been out here for 25 months now best move I ever made. Easy money too! Work Smarter not harder......Vegasman and QualityMike Thank this.

The people that hate it in the patch are the ones that think they can just sit on their butts and drive and make millions in a short time period. The people who love it are the ones who enjoy working hard for the reward of good money and stick it out until they get the good job offers, which come fast once a guy has proved he's a good worker.chaz7r, QualityMike and Vegasman Thank this.

If you are a logbook preacher and DOT cheerleader you will hate it. Oilfield trucks couldn't pass a level 1 dot inspection. The roads are too rough, things break and cannot be fixed right away. It is so busy that an air leak will just have to wait. I've run on flats, lights out, air leaks etc if DOT pulled me over I'd be shut down right then and there.
mforget about HOS. There is work to be done and 99 percent of the time it will not fit into a 14 hour window. You may not get back to the yard till midnight and have to get back to the well by 7. The well doesn't stop producing just because the government says you have to be off 10 hours.
there isn't enough trucks and enough people to work out here .
the oilfield doesn't fit into a 14 hour window 10 hours off 70 hour weekkw9's rock, southpaw2153 and Vegasman Thank this.
