Podcast idea, whatcha think?

Hi all,
I have a degree in broadcasting as well in teaching and I have a hankering and an itch to use my degrees. I've been thinking about the podcasts that I listen to daily and was thinking to myself how I don't htink there are any podcasts specifically for truck drivers.

So heres my idea, as not much as it is, lol:
*make up a weekly (for now, possibly daily later) podcast. Time would be determined later on....5-20 minutes.
*have the show feature news related to the trucking industry from content like OOIDA, AP news...etc. Basically anything truck drivers would want to hear, news, trends, tech...weather, fuel prices...etc. Need some more sources on that as I don't have much now.
*anythign else anyone can think of that would be a good addition to the show.

what do you think?

 

Well yeah, no sports and such, lol. Well...hmm unless it invovled big rigs, lol.
Actually my idea is just to get news out there to truckers that they might not hear during the day / week. it wouldnt be an entertainment show, but a news / info show.
As far as commercials...depends on how popular it gets. Wouldnt mind putting in a 30 second thing in at the beginning or end.

Mich, do you seriously have your own show? lol Im tired and your post wasn't clear to me.

Lol Ok well heres what I need:
*computer
*appropriate mixing / podcast creation software
*microphone with spit screen
...lol.

Actually that is probably what I need at least to get the show running. Probably could run it off my computer I have now, just don't have the sofeware to make the program...or a microphone and etc to make everything sound good.
Honestly Im open for any ideas and or suggestions. I havent spent a great deal of time on it because I dont have the necessary equipment for it, but the idea just keeps bouncing around more in my head.
