Two red flags, us express fleet rig and too many miles for me. Those two do not work for me. Also the automatic is a no. If you don't need cali, try something older. There are better trucks out there.
But if you have maintenance records and paper work on the rebuild, just maybe you should take it. However, an important question is why is your friend selling it. -
I used to work for a susidiary of express. No bueno on auto eventhough express is good with maintenance. Stay with freightliner though.

to many miles. You could get a used schneider truck for 20k with that many miles on it.

You should look at p and s transport out of birmingham al. Its working for me. Home every weekend and a decent weekly take home with a reputable company.

You should be talking to the best heavy truck mechanic you can find and let him tell you. No one on here knows the truck or it's history. You could put 2 identical trucks side by side, same make, model, year, specs, price, mileage and one could be the best truck you ever purchased and the other a complete dog. Have a mechanic go through it top to bottom, it is the only way. If they can't come up with a complete service/mechanical history, and I mean in writing, I would walk and not talk.
