Funny thing is I had the 1r0749 cat secondary filter installed and a fleetguard fs 1212 primary because I did research and found this to be the best combo.....now it runs like crap. Haven't got around to checking things yet. Will hopefully get to it tomorrow or Saturday.

go with both cat filters and see if that helps. I have never heard of that combination. all I know is mine just don't get the job done without the cat filters. I know I tried to save the upcharge fee of 25 bucks at an oil change, I very quickly got 2 cat filters put on.

That's the filters I have ran on mine the last two oil changes, I have not had any problems at all.

Been running fleetguard all the way around, until this last oil change. I personally don't think it's the filters. Will high oil pressure cause it to run rough?

Well went and bought some fleetguard filters this morning came home and changed the secondary first, nothing out of the ordinary. Now the primary, when I pulled it off the seal/gasket was twisted and folded over towards the inside of the filter. I have not put it under a load but I am pretty sure it was sucking air there. That thing was on there tight to...bent the filter bas when I removed it. maybe that will be the cure.
