I'll be in Sapulpa later today to check on my other truck. Got to run over to Nashville, AR and pickup a p/l at Tyson. Then off to Ponca City for 11 am Monday.

Hit me up when you get there, I may be running down to Oklahoma City later to bring a truck back up from the dealership for Ron.

Well Jarhead hope you get a better run than I just got. Whenever I get out of here that is. Get to sit around until tomorrow morning and then pick up in Plant City, FL then be in Winston Salem Tues morning at 10. So much for a long mile run.

    Jarhed1964 Thanks this.

Yeah, some long ones would be nice. But my next long one should be to Sapulpa to get the AC fixed. :biggrin_25517:

Keep in mind, even with short runs, you can net a lot of miles during a week. My last carrier had nothing but 500-600 milers for almost two months last September. I still burned out over 3100 miles every week. Yep, it does take longer to load/unload with reefer, which burns up more of your 14, but I figure I can still come at least close to that if they are scheduled to my advantage.

Not sure where I'm going next. Deliver this one tomorrow and we'll see.

Spoke too soon. Picking up a relay from a driver short on hours, delivering somewhere in FL at 06:00 tomorrow.

Just some info for you new drivers. When dropping a load at one of the drop yards, the bills go in the pulp door. Wrap them in a bag so they don't get soggy. If the pulp door is sealed, put them inside the reefer compartment. Don't be like one driver that duct taped the bills to the trailer and wrote bol on the tape with GREASE

To add to that, driver showed up to swap with an orange indicator on the reefer. Claims that it must have just come on (lie). It was on when he pulled in. Low coolant. I am at TA next door waiting to get it squared away, then to Sysco in Miami.

I guess that driver doesnt bother with his rearview mirror?

Anyone know what I can reasonably expect out of the Miami area?

Expect way too many 4-wheelers with way too few mirrors, blinkers or common sense.
