Tyson Foods

Does Tyson have any kind of regional program to get you out and back to the house a couple times a week,until a shuttle job came open. I live in same town as a terminal.What can i excpect for a weekly average.I really dont want no 10 to 14 days our like i keep reading.I keep hearing about shuttle drivers getting 3 100 dollar loads is this b.s.or what becvause im pulling gas for that on my best day which is rare.Lets if its true gas or chicken?thanks

I'm in Wilkesboro NC and scheduled to start classes at CCC&TI in August. I had someone recommend me look at Tyson as an option so I started reading and seems like a good one, especially given my location.

I will have to see if they are hiring here or not.

That's true. The problems drivers have with shippers and receivers you still have here. The thing with Tyson you get paid for what you do. My last job I ran local and made $34,000 gross the last full year. As of this paycheck I almost made that in 6 months. I get rest and miles because the load planners and dispatch most times have me a load before I'm empty.

Tyson really is a good company, fast trucks thats very well maintain. Good miles also

 

I wish they would get a plant in Western Wisconsin because I would love to go drive for them.
