If you can't even agree on a date to strike, let alone what you hope to achieve from a strike, you are going to accomplish zero.

No pointin arguing. I know when the strike is and I know when its agreed on. If you don't agree thats fine and your choice.
Drive safe if you are a driver! -
It is April 1st

That's the date I've been spreading...

You are right, Always falls back to the little man ! Big companys aren't going to lose , this is there way of getting the smaller co. out of the picture ! The government is weeding out small enterprise ! We have become a communist nation run by the rich ! And like they say , the rich get richer and the poor get poorer ! We lost our vote , and were losing our rights !
What happen to the strike taking place on the 1st of April !!!! I keep hearing later dates , must be nobody is going to do it ! We need to shut down April 1st for at least a week , just to get everybodys attention ! But to really get noticed it would probably take a month !!!!! Most places stock a week back up , so they aren't going to run out of anything for a couple of days !!!! We need regulation on how much profits these companys can make ! Especially the oil Companies !!!! But like you say if we make more money , we pay more money ! And we as consumers lose , as always ! Its time to hit big bussiness and quit giving them the breaks !!!! Government says the breaks they give big business is good for the economy , there just raping us , we have to pay , more in taxes and cost of goods !!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
As I have said in earlier posts, here in Ga we are shutting down on April 1st. Again we are planning a convoy in protest on April 1st. We are driving to Atlanta straight to the capital, making a pass around I-285 then returning home and parking them until we see a change. This convoy is mostly to show people that this shutdown is real and we mean business. We are still encouraging all that are in the area to participate. Again if you have any questions please ask!

Isn't DRIVING counter to SHUTDOWN! You say you can't afford fuel to work but you somehow can afford to buy fuel for a parade? Do you think the public will see any logic in this?

OMG, you've found out my home away from home forum...
This is "OverTime", yeah.. Oh ####.... Now you see why their are power in people. And to pull something like a nationwide strike off isnt going to happen by a girl on myspace. It takes us, the drivers/owners of the trucks who put 1000 - $1400 in our fuel tanks to get the job done.
I've not every really came out and asked you what you entended to get accomplished back in NOV/DEC of 2007 when you was hell bent that we where all just going to hand up the keys and shut down at the first of the year? Did you really think that was going to happen?
We own trucks, but those trucks are our lives and businesses. We are not just going to act on a whim without support. NOW the crockpot has had time to boil, NOW the boyz are sticking together, and NOW some #### is going to change.
IT TAKES TIME!
The date of April 1st is one date that the "TRUCKERS" set. One that we all could agree that is FAR enough away and yet not TO far away.
It's to the point where we need ACTION now, and we are going to get it one way or the other.
Please dont think I hate you like, I already think you do... lol... We have had a few run in's before. In fact Im almost ready to believe your my next WIFE... ROFL... HA HA....
My 2 cents worth Ditti...
