S' called "no inventory " and JIT. Costs money to have parts on shelf.......don't cost dealer nothing to make you wait. Shop never heard of "repeat sales" or "customer service"

Due to recent winter storms in the North East, many parts distribution gateways have been heavily and severely slowed down and some cases shut down because of all the snow and ice. This also goes for Internationals tech services. During the last big storm, it was common to wait 24 hours or longer in between responses. Normal time is only about 1 hour. I hope your experience was just due to the weather slow downs and not a sign of things to come!

When these big companies go out and buy a couple hundred tractors from international " or anybody else for that matter ", I'm guessing they are buying directly from the manufacturer, and not the dealer. I have a sneaking thought that if a dealer has two trucks to fix and one tech available, the truck the dealer sold gets fixed first, then the national account. That same math works if you have one hundred techs and two hundred max-farce motors waiting to be repaired.
