It sounds like you may have had some adrenaline pumping on that one. No excitement like that for me yet, thank the Lord. The load I'm on didn't have the 01 stop show up either. Fortunately, my DM (or DL) told me about it. But, I discovered that if you go to Navigation on the QC and click on Dispatch that all of the addresses are there as well.

Questions for the l/o's
1. Truck payment per week (average is ok)?
2. What kind of escrows accounts are there and is the money yours or there's?
3. Is it a walk-away lease, are there any penalties for early determination?
4. Do you have to use the ATBS tax service?
5. Do they issue you a fuel card?
6. What are the fixed weekly cost?
7. Pay rate per mile, loaded and empty, is there a sliding scale?
8. Is there an "over mile" fee, (driving too many miles in the month)?
I can be in orientation this Monday but I can't seem to get solid answers from the recruiting department on some of these questions. I would really like to know before riding 10hrs on a bus just to find out. Any input is greatly appreciated!!! -
oh and I forgot one more...
9. Is there a fuel surcharge? if there is, what was it this week? and is it paid on ALL miles?
Thank you!!! -
Arkansas Frost Thanks this.

I didn't want to wait till I got there to discover I don't like the lease agreement and have to ride the bus back home. Perhaps I should wait it out a month or two and try again.
Thanks for the reply Lady KLady K Thanks this. -
I was trying to think of a way to reply! Lol. I haven't really gotten to the bottom of things yet. 3rd week in February and I am yet to see a full week's work. Still in limbo on this load. We made it 180 miles away, lost half a day getting maintenance then got told to stand by we might be going back. Ten told to proceed. A couple of hours later it was standby again. So I'm 2 days in with 250 miles under my belt and a couple of BOL's I meant to turn in today but we're at a rest area in middle of nowhere NV. Yawn, on a good note... My truck is SPOTLESS!! Lol

Well according to the rumor mill around here I may end up working for Central again very soon, Kinda sorta.
We have been told that our company might be bought by a major carrier within the next few months. Also we have noticed a lot of advertising for Central and Swift here in Yakima. So the rumor is that Swift might be buying us out. So assuming I don't get laid off I may be back in the swift/Central family.Lady K, Arkansas Frost and mje Thank this. -
