A lot of Landstar brokers own trucks and have drivers in them, most descent loads will disappear faster than they can put them on their load board, nothing unusual about this
-
The issue is not about the rate here, its the arrogance!!!!
-
Been dealing with arrogance in the trucking industry now for some time, not worth letting it get you upset, have a better dayBigBadBill and Tobytob Thank this.
-
Couldnt agree more...just the way some people operate in this business is enough to drive you insane if you let it.
-
Depending on where you are, the loads can disappear very quickly. I've lost track of the number of times I've called about a load that was just posted, and it's covered already. I've learned to be quick on the phone. That's what happens when a good load hits the board. But, he shouldn't have just hung up on you. What agency was it?
-
Alot of A-Hole agents over here, I just keep track and refuse to pull their freight... KPG/ELZ is one
-
When I pull a flat, you gotta have contacts. My dad (dispatcher) would get me out amd I could run the rest of the week myself if I needed and rarely hit a load board.
-
Some LS agents can be #####, but I've also dealt with really good and professional ones. But hanging up is expected in the business. I've never done that, but have had it happened. Its better to just ignore the rudeness rather than have it affect you.
Bigdubber Thanks this. -
Is it me or has Landstar hit the bottom of the barrel as far as rates paid to O/O's?
We used to move loads for them from time to time but since mid last year they have cut rates practically in half from what they were paying. Needless to say we haven't moved a load for them since then.
