Uh...Truckers are important...
Name one thing that people consume or utilize everyday that didn't come from a truck..... -
I have learned to be more careful of the "quiet ones"......
-
Why is that?....Everybody "knows" trucking is way...Way...Way....More exciting than being a Spec Op or a CIA agent....
-
Yeah...So?.....We have another guy on this forum that brags that he runs "30 Hours Straight"...
Who cares?....
Give 'em enough rope...Eventually they'll hang themselves.... -
Unlikely that happens these days. When I first started driving many did run like that, but they were so pilled up they didn't know where they were most of the time or couldn't remember the last few hundred miles. Ruined their health.

I met a guy one time that was trying to recruit me into the VFW. He told me he was in the Air Force for a 4 year enlistment. Said he served the whole time in Vietnam. Went there as an E-1 and returned for discharge as an E-9. Is this possible; I doubt it. Am I wrong? My cousin, now a retired trucker, went to Vietnam as Army enlisted and returned as Major, but that was after several tours, not just one tour.

The 6000 miles was a joke, at least that's how I saw it.

We had an E7 that transferred into our combat unit. He had already been there for 3 years. I asked him " Sarge why don't you go home ? " He said " Are you kidding me ? they're trying to kill me back there !!"Chinatown and Working Class Patriot Thank this.
