Bought my galaxy online through eBay, also my new Astatic Road Devil mic. I had good luck with my purchases, many folks have not been so lucky from what I've seen. Use caution, concentrate on buying a radio for you feel you can re-list it for if it doesn't meet your expectations. I spent a week bidding low on radios until I finally lucked out on one. Also make sure you buy from somebody that is a regular seller, they're more likely to be concerned about negative feedback than someone who just shows up once a year to sell off what's lying around the garage gathering dust. . . . .

H&Y Electronics. this is the cheapest place i have ever found on the net and or CB shops on the road. But, you will have to take your new radio to shop to be converted or modded because they do nothing like that. they sale news radios and such only. but think of it this way. say you want to high powered radio like a Connex 3300 HP, you'll pay $300 plus for it at a cb shop. here you will play $199 then maybe around $20 to have it converted. or you can go to CB tricks . com and follow the instructions and do it yourself as i do. just depends on what you want and how much you want to spend. but me, after 18 years of trucking and getting raped over and over by cb shops. i wont spend a dime in one!

If Stomper is still running his shop at the TA in Duncan, SC, I've had good experiences with him. Been years since I've been there, though, so I don't know what his current status is.

I don't have personal experience with this company..... But I've read "Bells CB" is good. Their prices seem a bit higher than some. But then it might be a case of you get what you pay for kind of situation. They are all over youtube with tuneup reports.

My opinion: Buy the radio where you can get it the cheapest and then have a tech you know convert it and tune it. It is usually way cheaper and then you know what you got.

Bells is good. I just ordered from them last month. I'm satisfied with the service and turn around time.

This is good as long as there is a reputable tech available to work on the radio. Sometimes it's hard to know where to find one if they are new to cb.
