My 2015 ISX was doing a regen by itself today while I was casually strolling around looking for my trailer and parked. Once parked, I didn't touch anything or do anything and instead of a 600 RPM idle, I had a 800 RPM idle and I could hear some turbo boost and smell that filthy soot burning. Brilliant. I know at 60 MPH on my 10 speed, I throttle down to the floor and drop it in 8th and get about 2,100-2,200 RPM, make's for some good slowing action.

Curious, do you have an APU or generator, or do you idle overnight?

I am still waiting to see the results of the Maxxforce 13 with SCR. A lot of folks got burned on the high EGR version, but they supposedly have really dialed back on the EGR to a great extent that the engine is not the same critter that the EPA burned them on. If the newer Maxxforce with SCR plays out to be a reliable engine, it combined with the new Allison TC10 transmission would cause me to take another look in the future, especially since the Maxxforce engine is so much lighter.

I have multiple 2015 prostars. When we first got them we were averaging 7-7.2 mpg. A year later all of our trucks are averaging 6.4 and lower. Ive tried everything and cant seem to increase mpg. Only pulling 80k lbs. Any thoughts?

Reset your trip calculations. Reduce idle time, reduce speed. Make sure sensors are clean and they aren't doing excessive regens.

How are your prostars holding up?
Thinking of leasing them from Lone Mountain
