I did it with them, they are not cheap. Charged me almost $300 for it but they did a pretty thorough job, even getting me back money that Missouri had taken off even though I didn't live in Missouri (got my CDL there through trucking school but lived in Florida). Then when Missouri sent me a letter trying to get me to pay a bit they handled it and wrote up a letter that I signed explaining exactly what had happened. Missouri never contacted me again. I think they are worth it, but if your case is pretty simple a CPA will charge you less.

I'm looking for a CPA/Tax preparer in the Atlanta area that knows how to do trucker taxes. Any recommendations? Btw, not really interested in a do-it-yourself approach. Really am more comfortable with a CPA/preparer handling things.
Many thanks. -

Thank you! I'll check them out.

A man after my own heart! I cannot tell you the number, possibly hundreds, of driving professionals that I have attempted to teach this lesson to. I cannot for the life of me understand why people assume a big tax return is beneficial in any way. The time value of money principle just doesn't stick with some people I guess. -
Cheapest is not always better, and a very large refund means your withholding allowances need to be adjusted. Individual tax circumstances vary greatly, so even company driver tax returns can get complicated. A well-rounded atx professional with industry knowledge is who you need.
