Moved into my 2015 last night and yes, it is an auto. 121 miles on the odometer.
Speaking of Volvos, there is a whole bunch of shiny new white ones here with our logo on them. They have contracter numbers on them.
Your opinion about USXpress?

Total has a lot of 2012 Volvos in their fleet. The one I picked up from the Volvo dealer was a manual. Looked like a house in there. Lol.
How do you like the 2015 so far ? -
usx leased the white Volvos, prostars, freightlines short term until they get their order of NEW RED trucks...... or so it said on their facebook page a few weeks ago

Heard from a friend that Volvo is still having issues fixing the new ones as well. He loves the truck, but maintenance takes forever.

Husband worked for USX in 2008; he drove a 2005 Volvo Condo, it was auto; it had a sunroof, loved the room, it rode good. We had the Coleman and a real old small dorm refrig with freezer in it, microwave, George Foreman, and a coffeepot, small Tv and the vcr/dvd player. He put our own inverter in it. Had half the house I think packed in it. The bottom bed was the type they had in rv's, the table with the bench seats that made down into the bed which had storage underneath them accessible from the inside or the doors outside. It had stash hidey places throughout to put things. The cabinets behind the seats on either side were large.
We used the Volvo repair shop in Roanoke, VA and Nacarato Volvo in Nashville, Tn. Back then they were pretty good, don't know how they are now. The truck was having warranty work most generally done to it. We did have to have the airconditioning done at Roanoke, right after we got it out of the shop at TH and it quit working about 90 miles away.
The only thing bad about the Volvo is it is so much longer to get into some of the docks in old city areas, small warehouses, the Wrangler place in Luray, VA with a 3 foot drop down into the neighbors yard was one I really hated; there was a place in Pittsburgh that it took up both lanes pretty much to get it back into the dock after dodging trees with the fence guards on them
He was there when the recession started to really hit. Had some great dm's, one they let go after being with them for about 14yrs when they closed out OKC. But then it was getting to where the sitting was happening more and more between loads waiting; now they would kill you on the 34hr reset limit to one per 168hrs if you don't use rollover hours to drive. The company drivers were being cutback on miles and they were given to the lease drivers, even though they were complaining too about how many miles they were loosing a week.
Other than putting his foot down when it came to repairs, or tires needing to be replaced, it was good then to work for. The main thing is to keep your dm in the loop with communication, PTA's, ETA's, ect. There were times when you delivered, and then sat all day, got ready for bed and then they sent a load, it goes on everywhere. If you don't have a good dm, start hollering. Expect to chase down trailers now and then; sit at Walmart and wait but don't be late; if it is the same now, Target deliveries were considered a service failure if you were there real early, such a pain.
There are more truckstops now then there were back then, they send you a route solution, so plan where you stop for your breaks and 10hr off l so you don't overdrive your hours.
And you should have seen the people waiting for trucks when we went home at Xmas 2008 and came back, TH was jam packed then.TruckDuo Thanks this. -
Wrong, they are only partially automatic. I bought and paid for a truck through them, but I am leaving at the end of the year. The majority of the trucks are manual shift trucks. They are pretty good company it's just time for me to move on.
