I can't speak for every other job out there, but the job that I got pays just as well as most driving jobs that I could have gotten in the oilfield and with as many hours. The whole reason of my post was to let people know that there are other options if they run into problems with the oilfield. My position is different than most out there though. San Angelo is my home, and I was looking for a career job whereas most are driving into town with nothing more than the clothes on their back and plan on leaving as soon as they bust.

Who he is working for is irrelevant, besides this is a public forum.
You can drive around Odessa and Midland for days seeing driver wanted signs. It a matter of what you want to do in the oilfield that counts. Take your time and create a sheet with company names, phone and addresses. Their is numerous threads here with wealth of information, of company names.
I never understood why members come on here looking for a easy route but don't take the time to read with information already posted.Last edited: Mar 2, 2014
hardworkinman and Patrickm213 Thank this. -
Personally, I think you guys should give him a break. First off, he is still in the military for the next few months where his service is the reason your sorry have the opportunity to breathe much less have an oilfield job. Second, it is tough to be on the outside looking in. I was in the same position 8 months ago. All you can do is ask questions and try to piece it all together.
Give the guy a break...all he did is ask a question. If you dont want to answer it...don't. If you don't want to answer it publicly...send him a pm.Last edited by a moderator: Mar 2, 2014
sanook, Ben Gunn, runningman0661 and 7 others Thank this. -
BTW, I served in the military.
My point was, he asked twice about who he worked for. He didn't say, so why push the question. Also, like I said. Get a sheet of paper and start writing down company names, phone and addresses. Several type of driving positions in the oil patch. Some you will drive your butt off and some will be only 20% of the job.BORNtoROAM, Vegasman, Rodeorowdy and 1 other person Thank this. -
Thanks for your service btw!
I have name dropped all the companies, websites, and other information you could possibly need to get employment. If you do what I said in my previous post you should be just fine. -
