You might want to include the school your talking about. You might get some feed back from other drivers who have attended there. The price sounds decent but 63hrs is not much training. That is about a week and a half.
-
the school is Brown's Auto Driving School they been around for a long
time know they do have more hrs but it more money like $2100.00 i don't
if i can afford that right know -
I got funding for driving school through the department of workforce development. I dont know if this is anything that you would be eligeable for, but it is always worth a try.

Check with the workforce in your area and look into the WIA program. Thats the route I took and couldn't be happier with the results. I got 210 hours of training and PTDI Certification with no out of pocket expenses other than the gas money it took to get to the hotel.
-
Is WIA program for unemployed or layed off workers only?
-
Nope, the WIA program will cover people based upon yearly income, whether or not your family received (in the last 6 months) or is receiving food stamps and numerous other factors. Whether you qualify or not will vary depending on your individual circumstances. Just check with your local workforce and ask them about the WIA program and how to qualify.

The other option would be to find an accredited school.
They will cost more, but the training will be better, and much longer. You will be looking at 8 weeks of training most of the time.
These schools are covered by government grant programs and student loan programs (same as college) with a lower rate.
Trucking companys try very hard to get drivers from these schools, and you will learn allot there that most company trainers do not think to teach. -

thank you guys
