Wouldnt expect a different outcome for a country that turned its back on unions and kept voting for the same two parties over and over again. I just hope im long gone from this industry by the time things get bad enough.

The two feed & chicken processing plants I lived near the Tyson drivers wasnt paid well. They made around $800 a week BEFORE taxes. Alot of guys who worked there lived in the country where the cost of living was low but the benefits great and they only worked 8-10 hours a day. In the last 5 years a small trucking company has took over the feed plant and owner operators have took over the chicken hauling...
I think Tyson has been having problems with their poultry division for a while, I don't think there's nothing to worry about with their private OTR fleetLast edited: Mar 1, 2014
mje Thanks this. -
Its not the private fleet. Its feed and live haul. KLLM has big contract with Tyson otr fleet. Were not paid hourly were paid per stop plus miles. I average gnote to 1100 week before taxes. Job sucks to be honest. Worst trucking job I've had but when you go home daily and don't work weekend for a g a week. Its hard to throw that away. Jb hunt is really kinda a joke. Every one knows what a mega carrier is like. And Jb is up in the top 5. But sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Local work in the woods don't pay but 14hr if your lucky
