And respectfully, I disagree with you, Hot. Chances are, he would have been fired for refusing the load. And if that wasn't enough, more than likely, he would have been told to clean out his truck and get out, leaving him stranded miles from home, in the cold, and probably with little money. That's why he said yes to the load in the first place.
    Can't happen, you say?
Happens all the time. I've seen it happen myself at Conway Truckload. And BTW, Conway has a "no load refusal" policy with their drivers.
But don't believe me; go to any truck stop and ask drivers if this type of abuse is rampant amongst ALL mega carriers (and some smaller ones too).

Abe still may get fired when he gets back to the terminal.I hate the thought of it but it might happen.I hope hes prepared for that. With kb refusing lds and not driving while under a load is the same thing.

If he does, better find an attorney and explore wrongful dismissal and whistle blower connection.

If he's not smart enough to leave on his own, than if he is fired, they did him a huge favor. Many driver jobs out there. I'll be darned to have dispatch tell me to risk my life for anything in a trailer!
If he continues to work for them, then all he is doing is sending message that these tactics work in making drivers do what they want.

I don't know him, so I was not aware of this.
