My fellow elders, I have a '99 KW T800 with a cummins ism. This t800 is the smaller of them, the one where the front fenders are not quite "full" front fenders. Being that the smaller ism is in the truck and the hole for the motor is spec'd for it, I am needing to know what the biggest motor I'd be able to put in my truck. I have an N14 I'd like to put in because the series 60 is probably 2 feet too tall. If any of you have had experience in this or any general knowledge it would be greatly appreciated. P.S. Would you be surprised if I told you that even Kenworth studdered when I asked them this... Cummins told me to call Kenworth.... Thanks guys

I'd say a ism would fit.

    I'm guessing the OP has a T 800 112" which is going to be ISM, C-12, 11.1 Detroit....sized. Most T800 are 120".

I see dirthaller is following me and you are correct as far as the motors that came in the smaller of the two sizes. Where does the size difference lye? Is it in the area between tranny mounts and front axle?

Do you have the short hood or the long hood?

He had said he has the short. I drive a couple of them at my job and they have small Cummins in them. ISM and M11. Not much more room under the hood for something bigger. They have a long wheelbase they just have a shorter hood for tighter turning in Chicago.
