I really am Camera Shy. Soon there will be a reality show dedicated to exposing every hiccup that occurs while we drive.

Who has the funniest look?

Well, if these drivers would be professional, maybe the companies wouldn't have to install cameras in their trucks. You know, things go both ways here.Offender Thanks this.

I have my doubts that it has anything to do with it. I can see it as an insurance issue. You look at many business ventures and one of the things they push for is cameras at the work place and in the lobbies.

Way to drink the company kool-aid.
I never said drivers should not have dash cams. I'm well aware of their benefits. But that's a driver's decision to make, because it's HIS or HER ### on the line in that accident or ticket situation, not some micromanaging company's.
And having a camera facing the driver only serves to hurt the driver, it does not in any way help. Dash cam out the window is what matters. Driver cam is just big brother snooping. -
Yeah, cuz no company has ever been sued because of the actions of its drivers.
truckers always screaming about low pay, not enough money and in the poorhouse.... If I was a lawyer, that's who I want to sue to get the big payday. Forget the trucking company.
what a crock!joseph1135 Thanks this. -
I hate to take up for a mega, but that's a true statement. The company, at the end of the day has very little to do with it's own CSA scores, with the exception of equipment issues, and even there is an a lot of driver responsibility on that. When drivers do stupid things because they don't want to do what's right, it falls on the company. And this is where the finger is pointed at the company. Hiring standards. They are very low. Pretty much if you have a heartbeat and a CDL, you're hired with the exception of certain convictions, citations and DAC reports. Chuck, I don't know if you're a driver or a recruiter or what your position is. But if you have a guy walking into orientation looking like hell with an attitude to match, you think you're getting someone that is going to take care of you? Nope. Not a chance. Raise the hiring standards, you have less problems. When all you're looking for is quantity instead of quality, you get what you pay for. Me? I know my worth and so does any company I walk into the door for. I have a good record. A real good record. And I look and act the part. Even though some people are lazy and don't care, it falls back on who hired them. And a better training/orientation would do good as well. Even seasoned drivers need to know what's expected and how to do it the Prime way or the Conway-way or what have you.

You're a sheep and foolish with that opinion...and I REALLY held back my true opinion.... "If you're not doing anything wrong what do you have to hide" is the lamest excuse I've ever heard for any argument, be it guns, speed governors, cameras or anything else.
If you don't have enough self respect to stand up and say I'm a responsible grown man with a good work history and am willing to stand on my record and I don't need to be babysit just because your lawyers found something else to spend money on to maybe possibly cover the company's a z z.
Giving up your right to privacy now is just bending over and grabbing your ankles now to show them you'll do it again for the next stupid thing they want.
Gawd...new truckers keep hitting new lows that I never thought possible.Northern Lights and Jokingypsy Thank this. -
The key to this strategy is to rub one out simultaneously while also performing a hard brake maneuver or any any critical event. You have to make sure safety gets all of the juicy video details.that65 Thanks this.

How can it be an invasion of privacy when your at work?
I support interior and exterior camera systems. If I had the cash to do it right, I would put it in my own truck. It can really cover your tail if something was to happen.Northern Lights Thanks this.
