Thanks IronPony, I really appreciate your responses. I didn't know why they were so strict about gaps in employment, but it makes sense now that I see what you said.

Hey IronPony. I Hear Prime Pays .39Cpm For Company Drivers now. What About Deadhead Miles? Does Prime Pay .39Cpm For Those Miles Also?

The interview is a formality for Safety to ask you any questions that may have come up during the hiring process. I was asked exactly one question... why didn't I list an accident that I had. My response? It was prior to the time frame specified on the application. I could see him counting in his head, and was satisfied with my answer.

The #1 reason for not passing the interview? Failing to disclose on the application, which means submitting a fraudulent application. That'll leave you sitting on the curb; not even a shuttle ride to Greyhound. That, and thinking that you're smarter than the people doing the drug tests, account for virtually all of the people not getting through orientation.

Medical issues can get you sent home, as well, but those generally let you come back when they are resolved.

Bottom line: Do NOT leave anything off of your application! If you forgot something on your on-line app, don't worry; you will be filling out another one the first day, and THAT is the one that counts. Not sure if you need to put it on there? Put it on anyway. As with my accident, they already know about it by the time you get to Springfield. If it's something serious (like a criminal conviction), they may have to re-evaluate you, but when (not if!) they find out and you haven't told them, you will be gone. Some reports may come in after you are on the truck. It would suck royally to be kicked off the truck at a truck stop on the other side of the country!
