I'm glad you guys are not sub-contractors in the building trades not a #### thing would be built because you have to pay your own taxes and take responsibility for your lives. I think grand ma and virgil should be encouraged to try and make it rather than being the clones that do what they are told. I've been out of trucking since 1990 and the rates for drivers are basically the same now as they were back then for company drivers, the same goes for construction.

Not a problem if it were a company with a good reputation that did not prey on newbies for the lease. They have a history of ripping new drivers. If you are going to subcontract. Know what you are doing and who you are doing it with.

 

I fully understand what your saying make no mistakes about it ! I'm accustomed to making 1000.00 a week plus. but people are to in love with money , I've watched and experienced a trade thats kept my family fed for years now going by the way-side because of love of money! Builders are now hiring mexicans and other third world people for cheaper rates. But I still survive. I plan on coming back to trucking for a change in my life and so help me you'll never hear me complain about paying taxes or benefits for my family.
Our problem is the government plain and simple for the ill sides of factories , construction and trucking nothing to say of the countless other trades
