Before I left they started pulling a lot more brokered loads. My guess is that is what is happening here.

Well here I set in Romeoville Il. I have been out for over 30 days and my home time was for yesterday. They have no freight going to Grand Rapids Mi. and will not let me go home.

Well I talked to one of the DMs he said they are short Dms today and only have 1 planner on so Im not sure if the planner knows what is going on or not. The DM said he will talk to his super and ask him to release me home. In the 30 days I have been out I have run on recap for the whole time with no resets. I have 3200 miles for the week. Im dead ### tired. All I want to do is sleep......

Should know more in the next 15 minutes or so.

The planner did not say anything just wants to give me Preplans going in the wrong direction.

They pulled that BS on me. The whole time I was there. Gotta put your foot down and tell them how it is. They need you, you don't need them, and make them realize it.

Gee i wonder if these companies wonder why they cant keep good drivers.
Only 30 days out -- you could probably work on a cruise ship and go around the world and be home more often.
Tell them you will sit and wait for a load heading the 200 miles towards home.
Sorry -had to say some thing, i can not get my head around a company willing to jerk around a driver that's willing to stay out 30 days.
By the looks of things on these threads about different companies they are lucky to get a driver that is willing to stay out 5 days.

    48Packard, tow614 and joseph1135 Thank this.

I was lucky. My last trip before they sent me home ended in Lansing, so the deadhead wasn't very far. The interesting thing is my first trip home was from the Detroit area, which is a MUCH longer deadhead; so much that it made me uncomfortable. I don't like wasting any company's money.

Well Im home, I told them it was ether Deadhead home or with a load going home or I would turn in the truck were they wanted and rent a car going home. The DM said it was the Planers fault. That I should have been told to head home.

The part I dont like is when it happened last time I was told it would never happen again.

If this is Heartlands doing then I dont see me working here much longer...........
