That is the claim levied by the op, maybe he will ellaborate on if it happened more than once.

I don't know about the Frig division. I'm Midwest Regional Flat, Honors Program/Salary. They duped me on at least three checks and I've heard from other vets that they did the same to them (paid for a half day of work when a full day, 4 hours, was worked).
You may want to contact the Frig drivers as you ops manager and dsr will be different which could be as different as working for a whole different co. from me.

I would suggest looking a little further than Knight. They have received bad reviews from drivers I have spoken with.

Same crime more than once? That isn't an accident in my book. I would cross Roehl from the list. If a driver stole from them what would happen?

Can you tell us if the problem was rectified and if they back paid you for those times?

After reading this thread I wonder what will happen to my pay??
I'm a Midwest Regional Van driver also on the Honor Program with Roehl. I started Evo I on Tues 18th with a 7/7 trainer and came home on the 25th the following Tues. Roehl told me to call them on Fri the 28th for further instructions.

I called them 1st thing in the morning (8am) and got the voice mail. I left a very detailed message with Cell and Home phone number to contact me.
Mon will be the 31st and the 6th day that I have been home and still no word from Roehl. So my question is are they going to pay me my full salery wage or are they going to screw me out of some money due to there own mistake?? I think we all know that answer but we will see.

What angers me is that these companies want you to be perfect all the time and when you mess up then you have to pay for it. But when they mess up they want you to still pay for it. No wonder it's hard to keep good people working for a company anymore. I hope that Roehl does the right thing but again we will see. All I know is I have been very professonal with Roehl and hope that they will be a professonal company that they claim to be and do the right thing!!

As far as my experience with Roehl so far is that the people that I have been in contact with are very nice and seem to want to help you. But this is not the 1st mistake that Roehl has made with me either. The recruiter dept. did not forward some info to the safty dept. which delayed me 5 extra days going out with a trainer in the 1st place. So far all that I have seen from Roehl is a lot of un-necessary and un-professonal mistakes being made from a well known good named company.

I hope that this is not a sign of what is to come after I get out on my own. I chose Roehl because of their rep. and good name that was on this web site. As well as their training and safty program and what it has to offer a newbie just starting out. I will keep you all posted as things come up with nothing but the streight up truth and facts. Be safe out there!!!

I've yet to round up those checks and match them with my log times on the log sheets. This will take a little time but I've kept everything because the the trucking industries overwhelming reputation for dishonesty. Once I've dug these up I will bring to my ops manager and see what they do.

That right there is big reason I don't exactly swoon over Roehl whenever another driver asks me about the company at a stop or the s or c. It is amazing how my DSR assignes blame to me for absolutely everything no matter how isnignificant or seemingly inconsiquential. A simple missed phone call or fax (when they don't get it it's allways something I did wrong and I get a lecture). I call them when I'm down to 1/4 tank of gas if I don't think I'm going to make my fuel stop. My DSR proceeds to lecture me on how I need to call him when I'm down 1/4 tank of gas!? IRRITATING! I'll get directions to a C that are completely bogus and I'll call about it. The responce is "well you need to call the c to get directions." Yah, well I already did that , how the hell do you suppose you got my "arrived at con." message fercrisake!
My DSR is relatively new so I'm sure he's being taught the ropes by my ops manager who's telling him to avoid any kind of blame or responcibility for anything no matter what. Here are a couple of reasons why this is bad and I don't just write off as "part of the trucking industry."
    1. If these managers are going to klimb the ladder and make the bucks they should be able to demonstrate at least a shread of leadership (having the balls to accept responcibility is part of leadership but not in the corporate world I guess). Not doing so shows a real lack of proffessionalism, period.
    2. It's pretty clear that this is not a team effort... at all. It's us againts them and they are covering there own butts right down to the smallest detail. That's not a good thing when you work in an industry where bad things can happen at any time and a typical day is a series of obsticals and minor problems that we need to solve. The office should be there to help us but to me they are just another obstacle I have to deal with.
Now of coarse there are those of you who will say there is no issue here but when you say that or write it management reads it here or hears about it from their company lackeys and their responce will ultimately be "yes you put up with it and that's why we do all these bad, negative, anoying things to you people."
By now alot of you will say quit and go do somethng else, will I'm not the problem so I'm not the one that should leave. Also, anybody that holds me to a high standard ows me thier best effort and my division doesn't give it.

There are still companies out there that let drivers be drivers. I know alot of companies use fuel routing but I have found it to be a pain is the ###. Roel is a good company to get started with but after 1 yaer go and make some money with a better company.
