Where is the best place to replace a windshield on a T2000... kenworth shop, autoglass specialists?

Are there different kinds, with lamanent coatings? My crack started from the center top and cracked about 7 inches accrpss right in the center.. started above where you can see. So i missed the chip until it was too late... it was just kind of freak.
Any idea what they will cost?

Any glass place can get you one quickly. I'd ask for PPG or Carlite glass, they resist pitting much better than cheaper replacements. Often, glass shops will substitute cheaper glass if you don't ask, but they wont lower the price accordingly.

We pay $150 for a windshield in our 379 Petes installed and $125 for Freightliner FLD/Classics. That's each, left or right) We use Pensock Auto Glass in the north east PA area.

You might check your insurance. I didn't think my windshield was covered, but checked and it was. Insurance company had safelight replace it. I am not sure if that is normal in every state. I live in Florida and as long as you have comprehensive insurance the windshield is covered with no deductible. Here is the way it is listed in Florida consumer insurance tips. I would think some other states may carry the same law but not sure.
"If you have comprehensive coverage, windshield replacement is the only claim for which you are not charged a deductible. Florida law requires this waiver to encourage drivers to immediately replace damaged windshields."
