Why are used trucks so over priced now??

I gave $43,000 for mine 07 MXS cat 13speed and only has 810,000miles was a buddy of mine that got out of trucking.....the problem he had was finding a buyer with money he was asking $55,k and said he had ten calls a week but no one with money.

Ya it only took me six months to sale my Freightliner at $18,k

 

Do you really think it's all about looks? Couldn't have anything to do with reliability and durability, you know, how well they hold up over time. Or possibly ease of maintenance. And that great big grill has a great big radiator that keeps it cool on the hottest of days. My 99 is in better shape than many trucks less than 5 years old. Still has a good quite smooth ride and gets 6.5 mpg while grossing 80000 lbs. I personally think they have a lot more going for them than looks.

 

Yep, you are right. I had to go all the way to Joplin, Mo. to find a carb compliant truck that wasn't way overpriced like out here. It's insane! If you've got an 07 or newer and you want to make a killing, come out here and sell it. Just like Richter said, this is the place for bargain basement prices on pre-emission rigs.
