At the same time , that is moot. Fuel rises , so will surcharge.

Higher fuel prices higher fuel surcharge is what you want to a point. Especially if you are getting great fuel economy buy cheap and get the best mpg's you can if you pay fuel taxes buy in Illinois.

On this load the deadhead paid for most of the fuel.

We use to deadhead a lot more... now its been reduced quite a bit but still every once in awhile you'll see a nice 300-400+ deadhead and then you see the $$$ coming in ;) If you ever stay out over any holiday, you'll most likely see some nice long deadhead.

Some drivers chase miles . I personnally chase revenue per load. I have driven 2800 mi in high fuel lanes and made 1200. But at same time driven 1800 mi and made 1000.00. With muliti stops and cheaper fuel lanes . Either way you look at it ACT pretty much knows what your making for the week . And they make sure everybody gets there piece of the pie just make your appt ontime all they ask. They look after ya even when your having a bad week .
