Savage does alot of different things from hauling coal, lime, they even offer train services and now they got into oil. I haven't heard anything bad. they have been around for a while, so they aren't one of they fly by night parasites

    BigRigCT Thanks this.

Savage had a booth at the Williston Job Fair Thursday of last week. The recruiter told me they were hiring for the Bakken as well as WY.

I think I can help with this thread. I work for Savage in Trenton,N.D., which isn't far from Williston, N.D. and I find them to be a very reputable company. I have been with them since July 2013 and they have treated me fairly and they have excellent pay and benefits. You can go to their site at savageservices.com and look at the available positions.

Not sure how Savage in Vernal is doing, but I would caution you about working for them in American Fork or the Price area. I have a close relative who recently quit due to not receiving enough steady full time work. Great pay & benefits, just not dispatching enough loads to keep drivers working full time.

Both of the Coal powerplants near Price and Delta are going through some major changes and there are going to be ALOT of people out of work if they go through all the way. Probably enough to kill one or both towns.
