What is the best way to pay the toll roads especially when they are unattended! Do I need to get a pass for each different state or is there one that works for all?

E-ZPass would work in most Eastern states exept Florida

They are pretty much separate.
Other than EZPass don`t know any others that will work in multiple states. -
EZ pass will work for all of the NE, IL, IN, WVA, and OH. FL, KS, OK, and TX all have their own.

Missed the NE on the phone and added Virginia.

And Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas and California. (to clarify, EZ-pass doesn't work in these states.)
IL, IN, OH, NY, NJ, PA, CT, RI, VT, MA, MD, DE, NH, VA, WV, NC and several other turnpikes work with EZ-pass.
