Ron, I cheat, it's hyd. neck so I lower the deck down and have my wife raise it when I climb up on this high trl. lol.

Now that's the way an experienced guy gets it done. I have to use a step ladder myself.

Yes, I will agree with you on our peers.. Even today where I lded. one of the other contractors tied his ld. down and I was kinda looking at it. I don't know. Has the right amount of chains, just not the right way to keep the ld. on the trl. These lds. are Mod. sections of a big building. Shipper stated how and where to tie down. No problem as they have the right brackets etc. for tying down and they also have their own fleet of trks..
His front chains instead of crossing chaining he went and tied off to the front side of a hdy. neck. They angle up not down..
Oh by the way it's the trl. that broke on me in Dec. on my first trip with this company. .I saw the trl. and about fell over..
I told him briefly about it and he seemed not to care... -
My favorite all time securement malfunction is straps over a set of tracks on a skidsteer or mini excavator
