You guys and GALS are the best! Thank you for doing what has to be done, both for putting up with grueling schedules to get our loads delivered, AND putting YOUR money where your mouth is! This strike needs to happen.
With tears in my eyes I applaud you!
STAND UP AND TAKE A BOW! http://www.thetruckersreport.com/truckingindustryforum/images/smilies/roundies/biggrin_25514.gif
We WERE a trucking family for a short time, my husband was born and raised as a trucker and finally decided to take the leap, with the fuel prices as they were even in summer and fall of '07 it stripped us of everything we had, $thousands$ and to no avail he's back at a 12 hour a day job he really doesn't like. We are also a small business owner, a bar and grill just north of Antigo WI, it will be closing soon too, with fuel prices the way they are, it was costing us $50 a day to heat the place, with all the "back up" funds used to keep him going on the road, we're tapped, loosing it all!
What we can do is also offer a safe haven in God's country for those of you who may be in our neck of the woods, you are more than welcome to park and eat, there's plenty of room.
