Thanks so much for this thread,I just got accepted to head to missouri for the orientation,I've read through your advice 3 times since I applied and it's been a GODsend for guys like me that are starting out and haven't got much of a clue which way is up yet in this industry.I need to wait 5-6 weeks to start,so I can finish out some contracts from january,by that time I should be about as well informed as anybody could expect-thanks to you and all the other drivers for your unselfish advice and the time you take out of your day to put it out there-GOD bless!

    Hey,

I'll second & third those comments.

I owe a hell of a lot to all these guys for all they contribute here on their own. If it wasn't for all their posts here, I made might never have chosen Prime. These guys are golden in my book.

HUGE debt of gratitude owed to them. ;)

Absolutley THE Best company information on this site!

I have one question as everything has been answered in depth for me. I know drivers are dispatched as needed but are we allowed to request an area, as in regional driving? And is the Sprimo Terminal the only actual Prime Term?....I know thats 2!!

You can always work something out with your FM. On the reefer side we do have a northeast regional, but you'll make more money being dispatched to all 48.

Pittston PA and Salt Lake City UT are the two other full terminals.

The Pittston, pa terminal is decent. (Clean and stuff) I find it to be more relaxing than the springmo terminal. The springfield terminal is too busy. The. SLC terminal is a bit rough around the edges. It still has showers and laundry but has no cafeteria. You can still walk around the lot without looking over your shoulder but like I said in general it's rough.

there is a "terminal", actually more like a glossy dropyard in denver that I go to instead of truckstops when I'm there. It is gated and always has ample parking and during business hours has showers.

....and a charming port-a-potty for after business hours.

Yep, but at least the chances of some jackwagon waiting for you to use it so they can push it over on the door side with you in it is slim.
