Why don't you take the almost 30 year old for yourself? I thought you were gonna say a 2000...but to each his own.

What does the original question have to do with the rest of your post?

I need an A/C that actually works and an FM radio, some people say that makes me a prima-Donna . I really don't care what kind of truck the A/C and radio are in there. Pete's and KW's are favorite, but if the truck is right and the pay is good who cares what brand I'm in.

Don't forget the heater man! My last company had me in a replacement truck for a few days that had a nearly non existing heater. It barely worked and it sucked ### lol.

Here is the way I see it. If you don't make a truck payment then you can't really complain about what kind of truck you get to drive. I'd drive an older truck as long as it was a functioning vehicle.

The best truck is the truck that is safe, up to standards, and requires only a minimal amount of maintenance.

I would in a minute. The one I drive now is a '98 T800 with an M11. Nobody else wants to drive it because it's only 10.9L with 370/400 hp, 4.33 rear.

Yep. Throwing codes related to the VVA's and the VVA sensors. I think the local KW dealer put 12 on in the last year. Warranty but still down time. Finally we took it to a different shop and they replaced the wiring harness and that seems to have cured it....for a few months at least. Also there is a small nick on one of the cam lobes.
