So is that an average of .38 mile or is my math incorrect? Im a newbie so excuse my ignorance....Is that what is expected? -
Probably about right... 38 to .46 roughly for most drivers. Refund from taxes doesn't look is considered in there... So you pretty much make what a company driver makes but you're also paying for the truck - which you'll own after a few years. So you'll have about $38 - 45k truck after you're done and you can still run it for 2-3 more years before in frame or you can sell it and put a down payment on something you want. -
thats a sweet deal then and of course you are building something for yourself....I am looking into a purchase or a L/P. having trouble with some financing but have located a sweet lil deal, or according to the advice Ive received from those on here....I have a posting on the O/O's forum if you care to read...who knows maybe you might want to add another unit to your fortress.....lol... -
The reward for completing the lease is the truck which is an asset that has value. Also completing the lease opens alot of doors for you later down the road you dont have as a company driver. Your not gonna get rich on a lease but you can greatly increase your net worth after completing 1 . Thats the big picture alot of drivers lose track of . The thing you learn while doing the lease and completing it .Will help you succeed in the future. This is my first yr on a lease and im glad i made this move personnally. Should of done it along time ago. I have more control and flexibility when it come to trucking ive never had in 23 yrs as a company driver. That in itself makes my job fun again . Manage your income and youll be ok
BlackLions Thanks this. -
Made my delivery in Kc Sat. Already made enough revenue for a paycheck this week. So my last 2 loads i made 1000.00 in revenue after fuel so im gettg a head start for next week already.
My next load is Kansas to Houston tx. For a Tues delivery 688mi . Figured i go down there wait for the cold to pass. . Load pays 997.00 hope to spend only 350 on fuel. I got some left over from last load . See how it plays out. -
Check engine light came on lost load to tx. Kenworth now particulate filters problems got 3100 invested in repairs since december . Trucking can be expensive.

Im enjoying reading this thread. Ive been approved to come over to ACT just need to give Marsha a
Orientation date. Just a little nervous. Im guessing the 660's are nice trucks. I appreciated the guy who posted his numbers. Seems like a good deal with a little common sense.
